systems for crystallization-related research

Technobis Crystallization Systems is the leading provider of instrumentation to the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech industries. Our instruments enable researchers to be more successful by providing innovative technology solutions for crystallization-related research. Our product portfolio includes the Crystal16®, Crystalline™ and CrystalBreeder™, which remove the guesswork from the crystallization process. As a result, they increase efficiency and decrease the risks in the development process. With over 400 enthusiastic users, our Company continues to grow as we partner with industry to solve their most critical crystallization issues. In addition, research institutes and universities are a growing customer group.

Since 2005, the Company has mainly focused on sales to pharmaceutical companies. The 20 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, such as AstraZeneca, Boehringer-Ingelheim, GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis, Teva, Merck and Tanabe are part of our customer portfolio. In addition, the Company has sold crystallization systems to generic (e.g. Teva) and chemical (e.g. P&G, BASF and DuPont) companies. Our crystallization systems are sold to customers in over 30 countries worldwide.

Technobis Mechatronics, part of Technobis Group, is the engineering, development, assembly and test partner for Crystallization Systems. The partnership between the two dates back to 2008 when the Crystal16® was already proving to be a great success. The need to develop a next-generation crystallization system was then obvious, and Technobis Mechatronics was selected as a partner to help with the proof of concept and the engineering of the Crystalline™. Shortly afterward, they became the preferred partner for the full trajectory of all new products. The value of their involvement was without doubt from the proof of principles, design and engineering to certification, and from the first prototype and pre-series to series production. In January 2015, Technobis Group became the owner of Crystallization Systems, ensuring the continued execution of the business unit’s strategy. This strategy is focused on making researchers all over the world more successful by providing advanced technology solutions for crystallization R&D. The combination of the leading crystallization technology platform with the world-class capabilities of Technobis Group in in fibre optic sensing, integrated photonics, photonic packaging and turnkey systems development will further boost market-driven innovations.
